Atelier 5 Beaufort moves to Capbreton: new address, new challenges

The Atelier 5 Beaufort shipyard has moved from Anglet to Capbreton. A logistical transition planned in several stages. Pending delivery of the new buildings, scheduled for the end of 2027, the company is organizing itself differently to ensure continuity of service.

The move of Atelier 5 Beaufort from Anglet to Capbreton marks a strategic change for this young nautical company. While the maintenance activity remains operational thanks to workshop vehicles, the move to this larger port poses new logistical and commercial challenges.

A rethought positioning in the Landes port landscape

Moving from the port of Anglet to Capbreton also means rethinking its commercial geography. Temporarily located 81 avenue Georges Pompidou, Capbreton (40130), France the company's temporary premises have been reduced to three offices and a storage area. The aim is clear: to establish a long-term presence in the nautical fabric of the Port of Capbreton, which is planning a reorganization of its technical area, to be completed by the end of 2027.

This relocation positions Atelier 5 Beaufort at the junction between the Basque coast and the Landes region, an area with a high density of pleasure craft. This change could also be accompanied by a reconfiguration of customer flows, notably towards yachtsmen who have settled in the region's ports, without neglecting long-standing, loyal customers.

A mobile temporary organization designed for on-site maintenance

While we wait for the new buildings, we continue to operate in the field with a fleet of workshop trucks. This model, inherited from itinerant maintenance, enables the team to maintain close proximity to customers, particularly for routine repairs: engine overhaul, winterizing, electronics...

This mobile solution calls for controlled logistical organization and a rigorous schedule, particularly when it comes to operating in nearby ports without fixed installations. This flexible but demanding model highlights the importance of technical staff, with the planned arrival of a new technician.

A consolidated multi-brand business, with a move towards sailboats

The objective for Atelier 5 Beaufort remains integration into the future technical area of the Port of Capbreton. Scheduled for completion by the end of 2027, this infrastructure should offer more permanent working conditions, better suited to heavy-duty operations.

Created in 2021, Atelier 5 Beaufort has developed around the distribution and maintenance of well-known technical brands: Mercury, Nanni and Yanmar engines, as well as semi-rigid boats (Quicksilver, Zodiac, Bombard). The catalog has recently been expanded to include the Hanse brand of sailboats, enabling the company to address a new customer segment.
