Appointments, departures, job changes... There's been movement at RORC, Prestige, Bavaria Yachts, Propspeed and the Association Nationale des Elus des Littoraux.

A commodore at the helm of RORC

On January 1, 2024, Deborah Fish will become Commodore of the prestigious Royal Ocean Racing Club, better known as RORC. A seasoned sailor, with 11 Fastnets to her name and an active role in the RORC office, she will be the first woman to take the helm of the almost century-old institution, founded in 1925 and which organizes such events as the Rolex Fastnet Race and the Admiral's Cup.

Andrea Cragnotti takes charge of large Prestige yachts

Italian Andrea Cragnotti has taken over as Sales Director for large units for the Bénéteau Group's Prestige brand in November 2023. He joined Jeanneau in 2007 as Sales Director for Italy, Spain and Portugal, and was promoted to Sales Director EMEA in 2020.

Back at the helm at Bavaria

German shipyard Bavaria Yachts has seen the return of former General Manager Michael Müller as CEO . He takes over the position he himself left to Marc Diening in 2021, when the latter left the German boatbuilder.

Propspeed appoints EMEA Sales Director

New Zealand-based specialist in underwater antifouling paint Propspeed, particularly for propellers and appendages, has announced the appointment in November 2023 of Davide Burrini as EMEA Sales Director. With almost 13 years in the marine industry, including 11 years with Harken, he has a good knowledge of European markets.

New leader at ANEL

Alain Blanchard has been appointed General Delegate of the Association Nationale des Elus des Littoraux, ANEL. He succeeds Florentin Chauvon, who is leaving the association for personal reasons. Alain Blanchard was previously parliamentary assistant to Yannick Moreau, president of ANEL and deputy general manager of his home town, Les Sables d'Olonne.
