Equipment manufacturer Dometic reaffirms its ambitions in the marine sector

Dometic offers a wide range of equipment for boating

Dometic Group used the presentation of its first quarter 2022 results to highlight its objectives in the recreational marine sector. A plan supported by good figures over the period from the new marine division.

Good quarterly results for Dometic Marine

The Dometic Group has presented its figures for the first quarter of 2022. The equipment manufacturer is present in many sectors, well beyond boating, through the sale of equipment for vehicles and outdoor leisure activities, but also for professional use, whether it be air conditioning, kitchen equipment or tents. Its overall sales rose by 55% in the first quarter, marked by numerous acquisitions, and by 7% organically. Profits reached 47.5 Meuros.

The marine business grew its sales by 12% to 143 million euros. EBITA reached a margin of 25%.

A clearly targeted nautical market

The latest acquisitions of the Dometic Group already showed this, but the equipment manufacturer is reaffirming the weight of boating in its strategy by integrating a line dedicated to the Marine market in its results. Begun with the acquisition of SeaStar Solutions in 2017, the strategic choice had as its latest illustration the acquisition of Treeline Capital in the first quarter of 2022, after a series of buyouts, particularly in onboard energy systems.

In his comments, Dometic CEO Juan Vargues confirms the OEM's appetite for development in the marine sector. "Our goal is to continue to grow this sector globally, based on a strong market position and driven by continuous innovation," he says.
