New director at the port of Camaret-sur-Mer

The Finisterian port of Camaret-sur-Mer has a new manager. Mathieu Leroy took over the management of the municipal structure in January 2022. A former member of the French Navy and the CROSS Jobourg, he trained at the INB as a technical salesman in the nautical industry.

Martin Tom joins Atlantique Concept Voile

After more than 6 years working for BigShip as the head of store in La Rochelle then as e-commerce and marketplace project manager, Martin Tom joined the boat rental sector. He was in charge of international business development for Atlantique Concept Voile and Marine Cat Sey, two rental companies based in Morbihan and operating a fleet of catamarans in the Seychelles.

Torqeedo changes general manager

The manufacturer of electric boat motors Torqeedo announced the departure of its managing director Ralf Plieninger. He is being replaced by Markus Müller, who is already the Technical Director of the parent company Deutz. The new interim managing director of Torqeedo will hold both positions.

Richard Strauss, President of deck coating specialist Teakdecking Systems, has had his duties expanded. The executive board has appointed him as managing director as well. He arrived in 2018 and, among other things, expanded the brand's presence in Europe.

In accordance with recent announcements, the Ministries of the Sea and Agriculture have officially created the new Directorate General of Maritime Affairs, Fisheries and Aquaculture (DGAMPA) on March 2, 2022. Eric Banel, head of the Directorate of Maritime Fisheries and Aquaculture of the Ministry of Agriculture since December 2020, becomes the first director of the DGAMPA.
