Suzuki Marine, partner of the Grande Motte Yacht Club

Japanese engine manufacturer Suzuki Marine continues to sign agreements with French sailing clubs. A partnership has been signed with the Yacht Club de la Grande Motte to equip 100% of the club's RIBs with Suzuki outboards. In 2024, the YCGM is organizing the Grande-Motte International Regatta 2024, which brings together 3 Olympic series 80 days before the Olympic Games, the Engie Kite tour, the French Waszp Championship and regattas for regular sailors.

Oyster Yachts returns to profit

Vision Marine partner Neogy takes delivery of its French battery factory

Vision Marine, the Canadian manufacturer of high-power electric motors for pleasure craft, is delighted that its partner Neogy has taken delivery of a plant in Pompignac, France. This will enable the manufacture of high-voltage batteries, particularly for marine use, and support Vision Marine's acceleration in this sector. Vision Marine has also confirmed that it is currently negotiating the sale of part of its electric boat rental business, in order to concentrate on electric propulsion systems.

MarineMax outlines its cyberattack

MarineMax, the leading boat distributor in the USA and worldwide, had revealed that it had fallen victim to hackers on March 10, 2024, without disclosing the extent of the attack. The company now indicates that a limited amount of data was stolen, some of which included personal data on employees and customers.

Success for the Palm Beach show

The Palm Beach International Boat Show boasts a record 2024 edition. The fleet of boats on display, with over 800 units and a value of $1.2 billion, was the largest in 40 years, according to the organizers.
