Torqeedo sponsors the Blue Innovation Dock at Boot Düsseldorf

Electric boat motor manufacturer Torqeedo and the organizers of the Boot Düsseldorf boat show have formalized their partnership for a new event at the German boat show, called Blue Innovation Dock. The event will feature technical presentations on alternative propulsion systems to conventional internal combustion engines and new materials, as well as a business-to-business meeting area.

Reorganization project of the French State maritime services

The French Ministry of the Sea is working on a new organization of the regalian services related to the maritime sector. A new General Directorate of the Sea, should merge the Directorate of Maritime Affairs with the Directorate of Maritime Fisheries and Aquaculture, as well as part of the sub-directorate of ports and river transport, from March 2022. It would be under the joint supervision of the Ministry of the Sea and the Ministry of Agriculture.

Seakeeper expands its stabilizer production

Seakeeper, a manufacturer of gyro stabilization systems for boats, has announced the acquisition of a new plant in Pennsylvania, with over 23,000 square feet of space. The new manufacturing facility is designed to meet the rapidly growing demand in the marine industry. By the end of 2021, production is expected to have increased by 80% in one year.

20 years of partnership NMMA euros IMCI

The National Marine Manufacturer Association (NMMA) and the IMCI certification body are celebrating 20 years of collaboration. The two entities are pleased with the success of the process that has been put in place to certify boats to both the European ISO and American ABYC standards through a single inspection.
