Concession renewed at the Port du Béal

The authorization of temporary occupation of the port-shelter of Béal by the Société Anonyme des Aéroports Cannes-Mandelieu has been renewed on January 1st, 2021. Indeed, it is not a real port concession, the site, at the mouth of the Béal, near the Cannes airport, being considered as a Zone of Anchorages and Light Equipment (ZMEL). The new authorization is for 10 years.

Goiot Systems modernizes its machine park

The fittings manufacturer Goiot Systems is continuing to modernize its machine park. It has acquired a 4-axis machining center, intended for the production of its own range of deck equipment, as well as for industrial subcontracting services.

BSI makes UK acquisition

The Danish BSI Group, which already owns, among other things, the Jefa steering systems, Gori and Hundested propellers and BSI Rigging brands, is acquiring OYS Rigging. With the acquisition of the British company, the group claims to become the largest supplier of rod for boat rigging. OYS' thruster and hydraulics business, is not part of the transaction and will continue under the new name Ocean Marine Systems - OMS.

The Boats Group changes shareholder

The Boats Group, the leading provider of used boat sales services and owner of Boat Trader, Boats.com, Yacht World, Costas de Barcos, Annonces du Bateaux and Botentekoop, has changed ownership. The investment fund Apax, has sold its shares to the Permira fund, which was the majority shareholder of the Italian shipyard Ferretti in the early 2000s.

Multiplast enters the Class40

The Vannes-based shipyard Multiplast, renowned for building large ocean racing yachts, monohulls or multihulls, has announced the construction of a smaller boat, a Class40. Its general manager Yann Penfornis stresses that "in a context of slowing global economy, sponsors will probably be interested in more reasonable projects in the coming months."
