Two nautical companies rewarded by Crisalide

The Crisalide Industrie course, led by Créativ and CCI Innovation Bretagne, is a scheme to stimulate and support innovative projects of Breton SMEs. For its 2020 edition, two companies from the nautical industry have been awarded:

  • Foil & Co in the "Development" category, for the design of composite material parts, floats, foils and boards for the nautical industry
  • Technique Voile, in the "Services and new business models" category for the manufacture and repair of sails and accessories for cruising and racing boats

Final stretch for the nautical innovation competition

The 3rd edition of the innovation competition for the nautical industry launched in Pays de la Loire by the Nina association, now supported by the Nautihub cluster, will soon close the registration. Candidates have until October 23 to submit their applications. The final will take place on November 4 at the Vendée Globe starting village. A new installer for Transfluid hybrid engines

The Société Méditerranéenne Marine Industrie (SMMI), based in Marseille, has become an installer of parallel hybrid diesel-electric propulsion systems from the Italian brand Transfluid for the south of France.

Yanmar expands its range of saildrive subbases

The Japanese engine manufacturer Yanmar has introduced its new saildrive SD15 subbase. Compatible with inboard engines from 80 to 150 horsepower, it expands the range of boats targeted by the brand. The subbase developed by ZF will be suitable for monohull and multihull sailboats up to 65 feet.

Access to Boot Düsseldorf guaranteed for foreigners

The organizers of the Boot Düsseldorf boat show have announced that they have received assurances from the German authorities that foreign visitors will be able to enter the event, despite restrictions related to the Covid-19 epidemic. Boaters and exhibitors will be granted business traveler status with good reason.

New stage for the Volvo IPS

Swedish engine manufacturer Volvo Penta has announced the sale of its 30,000th engine equipped with the IPS base. Launched in 2005 in the pleasure boat market, this technology has been a major lever in the brand's development since then, with ecological and comfort gains according to the manufacturer.
