Special Edition / Sclavo, a partner for the decontamination and dismantling of pleasure craft

Sclavo, the waste treatment specialist, is investing in the decontamination and deconstruction of recreational boats. Between APER approval and a new dedicated site, the Côte d'Azur company is positioning itself as a privileged partner for boating professionals and yachtsmen.

A site specially designed for the dismantling of recreational boats

The Sclavo group is already approved by APER, the organisation in charge of the dismantling of pleasure craft, If it currently uses one of its 3 eco-poles in Fréjus, which is already operational, the deconstructor will take delivery at the end of the first half of 2020 of a site specially designed for this purpose. Also located in Fréjus, near the motorway to optimise logistics, it will have an area dedicated to pollution control and deconstruction inside this 5000 m² covered building for the treatment of the end of life of boats.

Dealing with the recycling of boats as a whole

Thanks to its network of eco-relays, installed on the Var and Alpes-Maritimes coasts, Sclavo is able to handle needs locally, by organising the collection of end-of-life pleasure boats (BPHU), their preparation and even their dismantling on site if necessary. Once in Frejus, the proximity of the Sclavo group's various EcoPoles, a few hundred metres away, limits CO2 emissions and promotes a real eco-industrial synergy between the various skills and equipment of these specialised EcoPoles ( Non-Dangerous Waste, Hazardous Waste, Irons and Metals and Multi-sectors). The recycling solution is thus fully integrated, optimized and complementary.
