Closed in June 2024, the Bathô shipyard, located in Rezé and taken over by Groupe SOS in 2021, had ceased all activity. Its concept, unique in France, was based on the conversion of decommissioned pleasure boats into unusual accommodation, often installed alongside the quay or in natural areas.
A second life for Bathô

The brand, along with its founding idea, was taken over in 2025 by Charles Khelifa, head of CMK Solutions and the Maison des Cériseaux, a home for troubled minors. The takeover was accompanied by the opening of a new shipyard in Saint-Pierre-lès-Nemours (77), on the CMK Solutions site.
The project is led by Thibaut Saint-Olive, former director of Bathô, and Garino Hérédia, ex-member of the Rezé team. They ensure the technical continuity and know-how acquired over the years.
A construction site serving the social project

Bathô's relaunch is part of an integrated approach to CMK Solutions' social action. Two lines of development are announced:
- The creation of a "Port Village" for events and tourism, planned for 2028-2030.
- Providing emergency accommodation for teenagers at the Maison des Cériseaux.
The first boats recovered during the handover have already served as summer camps for these youngsters. It was an important experience for many of them, who are often unfamiliar with the maritime world.
Relocating to the southern Paris region
Today, the Bathô brand continues to grow in Saint-Pierre-lès-Nemours, Seine-et-Marne. Rehabilitated, rethought and oriented towards social impact, it retains its maritime and alternative dimension while anchoring itself in new uses.
With this takeover, Bathô combines industrial memory and social commitment. An original example of the reconversion of a nautical activity in the service of social cohesion.
