Pro&Mer acts as a link between candidates for seafaring professions, recruiters and trainers

The 2019 edition of the Pro&Mer de Bretagne Pole Naval Show will soon open its doors in Lorient. A meeting place for recruiters and future employees of the sea and nautical professions.

6th edition of the Pro&Mer exhibition

The Pro&Mer show is celebrating its 6th anniversary in 2019. For the 2nd consecutive year, the event will stop over in Morbihan. It will be held this year at the Palais des Congrès in Lorient on 19 March 2019. Organized by Bretagne Pole Naval, the show acts as a bridge between companies, training centres in the sea sector and people who wish to integrate the maritime sector.

More than 100 companies

The number of exhibitors will exceed 100 in 2019 to reach 114 companies. If the companies of the civil and military naval sectors are the most represented, boating also exposes through the CDK Technologies shipyard or the South Brittany shipyard. Recruitment agencies will also offer positions for recreational boat builders. OEMs are also announced.

Training in the spotlight

The training courses in seafaring professions are also presented at the show. The AFPA, the Institut Nautique de Bretagne (INB) and the CEFCM will demonstrate the vast range of nautical routes.

CV writing workshops, job dating, conferences and round tables will be organised.

Sea Professions Sheets

On the occasion of the exhibition, Bretagne Pole Naval will publish the 2019 edition of its booklet of 55 job descriptions. Among the new features, the booklet will contain an item "Agent d'accueil des ports de plaisance".

1600 job offers around the maritime sector

Candidates can submit their CV online upstream on the Pro&Mer website, in order to facilitate recruitment. Offers are also visible after registration. "The volume of offers should greatly exceed last year's to reach more than 1600 job offers," enthuses Anne-Marie Cuesta, General Delegate of Brittany's Pole Naval. "The particularity of this year is the number of small structures with 2.3 to 10 offers, particularly in maintenance, port and yachting."
