Travelift expands its range of boat gantry cranes

Travelift 85 BFMII

The American brand Marine Travelift launches its new 85 BFMII gantry model. A machine adapted to the launching and the exit of water of the new boats.

A Travelift designed for today's market

Travelift says it has designed its new gantry crane to keep pace with the nautical market. Recreational and fishing boats regularly increase in size and in displacement, it was thus necessary for Travelift to extend its range with a product of great capacity, adapted to the existing infrastructures. The new model offers a lifting capacity of 85 tons.

Adaptation from a proven range

The new 85 BFMII benefits from the reliability and experience of the already widely distributed BFMII range. Travelift engineers worked mainly on the use of new industrial tyres and a new chassis for the wheels. A new drive ring has been developed with easily accessible lubrication points.

Improved maintenance

Parker's IQAN system has been added, allowing the operator to benefit from intelligent engine and machine operation diagnostics on LCD screens, both in the cab and on remote control.

Increase webbing speed

According to Jason Johnson, Marine Travelift sales manager,"The hydraulic system has been optimized to achieve best-in-class strap adjustment speed. This means that the operator can put the straps in place faster, which allows more efficient boat exits."

Suitable for existing sites

The designers of Travelift thought of shipyards and marinas during the development. So that they could be equipped at a lower cost, the main dimensions were kept to be able to adapt to the existing pits and quays, without requiring development work.
