France Hélices invests in Concarneau

The equipment manufacturer France Hélices strengthens its presence in Concarneau. A necessary investment in view of the evolution of the propulsion market in yachting and professional boats.

Increase propeller production capacity in Concarneau

France Hélices, one of the main boat propeller manufacturers in France, is developing its site in Concarneau, in the Finistère region. The company is investing 1 Meuros to increase its production capacity in Brittany. The work and equipment will enable the company to manufacture large propellers to keep pace with market trends. The changes will also concern the shaft line offer. With the increase in the size of pleasure boats, the demands of the nautical market are approaching the characteristics required by professional vessels, a specialty usually handled by the France Hélices site in Concarneau.

Responding to the saturation of France Hélices in La Napoule

The decision to invest in Concarneau also responds to the saturation of the historical headquarters of France Hélices in La Napoule, near Cannes. "We lack space and it is not easy to expand in La Napoule" explains Emmanuelle Bezzi, marketing and communication director of France Hélices. "While waiting for the opening of our new location in Port de Bouc in the Bouches-du-Rhône, we therefore decided to invest in Concarneau to meet the demand."
France Hélices launched a project in 2017 to set up in Port de Bouc, near the Etang de Berre. While the soil study is being finalized, the construction of the new buildings will take several more months. The new site, which complements those in Concarneau, La Napoule and Viareggio in Italy, which together employ 49 people, will meet the strong demand in the Bouches-du-Rhône and Var departments. The yacht and pleasure craft market is growing strongly in these areas.

Recruiting

To face this growth, France Hélices is recruiting technical and commercial profiles. The company took advantage of the Cannes Yachting Festival to launch a call for candidates. It is particularly looking for technical sales people for France and the Mediterranean, in order to follow its major accounts.
