Two days to discover the nautical professions

These first open days of the year will be held :

  • Friday, January 30, 2pm to 8pm

They are aimed at anyone considering a career change or training in the nautical crafts, as well as young people looking for career guidance.

Designed as a time for exchanging ideas and meeting people, these days will provide an opportunity to discuss in concrete terms the training courses on offer, possible career paths and career opportunities. Visitors will also be able to explore the technical facilities at Ateliers de l'Enfer, and take a glimpse into the day-to-day life of these passionate professions.

Focus on apprenticeship training in sailmaking

Launched at the start of the 2025 academic year, the sailmaker apprenticeship program has been a great success with both candidates and companies in the nautical sector.

It's a winning formula: more than 70% of training time is spent on the job, combined with technical instruction at the training center. This strong professional immersion enables rapid skills upgrading and favors integration into the job market.

Businesses are just as interested. Many of them have already declared their willingness to take on an apprentice for the start of the 2026 academic year, encouraged in particular by government aid schemes. Candidates can therefore approach their search for a company with confidence.

A second school year starting in September 2026

Building on this success, the sailmaking apprenticeship program will open a second class in September 2026, with 12 places available. Applications are already open on the Ateliers de l'Enfer website.

The same procedures also apply to continuing education courses in marine carpentry, nautical saddlery and sailmaking.

Enhanced, nationally recognized training courses

These open days will also be an opportunity to discover recent developments in our training offer. Since September, two new Titres à Finalité Professionnelle have replaced the old CQPs.

The following certifications are now available, both level IV (baccalaureate equivalent) and registered in the Répertoire National des Certifications Professionnelles (RNCP):

  • Sailing Technician (RNCP 40679)
  • Nautical Saddlery Technician (RNCP 40680)

These new diplomas offer national recognition, facilitate access to public funding (in particular via the CPF) and enhance the clarity of skills for employers in the nautical sector.
