Webasto expands its range with BlueCool SX-Series for small boats

Webasto adds a new air-conditioning solution for small craft. The BlueCool SX-Series is aimed at boats with up to three cabins. It will be presented at the Metstrade 2025 show in Amsterdam.

At Metstrade 2025 in Amsterdam, Webasto completes its marine air conditioning offering. Following the launch of the VX-Series range in 2024, the group unveils a solution designed for units with no more than three cabins, with the aim of simplifying on-board integration.

Compact units designed for small units

BlueCool SX-Series is a range of self-contained air-conditioning units designed for small boats. The series uses R32 refrigerant gas, whose GWP of 675 limits environmental impact. Loads have been reduced to further improve this balance, while still maintaining good performance: EER up to 3.1, COP up to 4.4. According to the manufacturer, the series offers 27% more cooling capacity and 43% more heating power than previous models, with a reduction in consumption of up to 24%.

Titanium condensers and epoxy-coated stainless steel drip trays enhance the units' durability. Their rotating architecture is designed to facilitate installation in the reduced volumes of small units. Control is via the multi-color MyTouch display. The range offers seven cooling capacities, from 6 to 27 kBTU/h, in 115 or 230 V, 50/60 Hz compatible.

This reinforcement of the range enables Webasto to cover needs ranging from small cruisers to larger units, while adapting technical specifications to the constraints of both shipyards and owners.
