Bainbridge International strengthens its position in Europe with a warehouse and dedicated sales department

Bainbridge International, the British specialist in materials for sailmakers and marine equipment, inaugurates a logistics subsidiary on the continent and appoints a sales coordinator for Europe. A targeted strategy to optimize delivery times and strengthen customer service.

A warehouse to meet continental market needs

Bainbridge International, a long-standing supplier of technical fabrics, sailmaking materials and sail fittings, has just announced the opening of a new European logistics structure. This 100%-owned entity aims to improve distribution on the continent by ensuring 24-hour product availability to the majority of European destinations. The initial stock consists of sailcloth (including the well-known AIRX and VMAX ranges), with a gradual extension to the entire Bainbridge range.

The European warehouse will be fully operational by the end of May 2025, with services tailored to the needs of the continent's sailmakers and shipyards. For Bainbridge, this is a logistical turning point in a post-Brexit context, where fluidity of flows and responsiveness are becoming differentiating factors.

A sales strategy embodied by an experienced profile

To support this new phase, Elodie Rosa has been appointed Sales Coordinator for Europe. Based in Palma de Mallorca, she already knows Bainbridge well, having been a customer for four years. Her experience in the field and her understanding of the needs of Mediterranean sailmakers will be key assets in driving the brand's growth in Southern Europe.

This appointment is part of a wider reorganization of Bainbridge, begun in 2024, around four specialized divisions aimed at greater operational efficiency.

Technical products for both regattas and cruising

Bainbridge's strength lies in the diversity and performance of its materials. The AIRX range of spinnaker nylon is woven and finished in Europe, and equips the sails of the world champion TP52s and J70s. In addition, the VMAX fabric, more suitable for symmetrical spinnakers, has been launched for the 2025 season, alongside a Spinnaker Cruise Cloth designed for cruising sails.

On the equipment side, Bainbridge maintains a dominant position in sailmaking fittings via its Aquabatten division. This division unveiled new TP battens at the Metstrade 2024 show, designed for high-load configurations on large-diameter sails.

By doubling its product strategy with a physical presence on the continent, Bainbridge International has given itself the means to strengthen its presence on the European market. Reduced logistics lead times, customer proximity and product innovation: the combination positions the British company as a key supplier for sailmakers and shipyards in Europe.
