Jérémy Tedguy succeeds Jean-Paul Roche as head of Alliance Marine

After 30 years at the heart of the nautical and marine equipment sector, the Alliance Marine group has announced the departure of its Chairman, Jean-Paul Roche. He will make way for Jérémy Tedguy, current Managing Director of Finance and Acquisitions, who will take over as Chairman of the group founded in 1999 on July 1, 2023.

From a single distributor to one of the major nautical groups

Jean-Paul Roche entered the world of boating by taking over the management of Vidal Diffusion Marine, VDM, in 1993. Creating Alliance Marine in 1999, he gradually built up a major group in the distribution of marine equipment, both professional and leisure, with the acquisition over the space of fifteen years of such well-known names as SEIMI, Reya, Accastillage Diffusion and Kent. The company then launched its international expansion into Germany, Italy, the UK, the USA, Spain, Sweden and the Netherlands. Sales are growing to reach 310 Meuros by 2022. The group now employs 850 people in 8 countries.

An anticipated transmission

For several months, Jean-Paul Roche had been relying on 3 main directors, Jérémy Tedguy, his successor in charge of finance and acquisitions until July 1, Yann Bouctot, Managing Director âeuros Operations and Louis Egon, Managing Director âeuros Strategy and M&A. The transition has thus been anticipated, and Jérémy Tedguy, 41, already possesses a good knowledge of the group he joined in 2015, as he emphasizes when taking the helm: "I'd like to thank Jean-Paul Roche for laying the solid foundations of a group that is now a leader in the marine equipment market. I had the good fortune to work alongside him for more than 8 years during a period of strong growth, and at the heart of the action, I was able to measure with him the importance of human relations and the necessary respect for different cultures in a group that has become very international. I share his values, which have become a matter of course for our teams and are now an integral part of our Group's identity. It is these values that have earned Alliance Marine the trust of world-renowned brands and partners. The group's momentum is strong and our projects are numerous, such as the digitalization of our group currently underway, and I know that with Yann Bouctot, Chief Operating Officer and Louis Egon, Chief Strategy and M&A Officer, we will be able to stay the course and perpetuate the group's development... who knows, for the next 24 years!"
