Samboat expands its network by buying a German agency

The subsidiary of the Dream Yacht group, specialized in the distribution and digitalization of the nautical travel offer, announces the acquisition of a major German agency. Samboat thus strengthens its European positioning, after recent acquisitions in France and the United Kingdom.

Samboat acquires Argos Yacht Charter

Argos Yacht Charter, an important German player in the nautical tourism industry, is now under the French flag, after the acquisition by Samboat, the subsidiary of the Dream Yacht group, in charge of the distribution of trips and its digitalization. The company, founded in 1979, remains based in Germany, with all its 7 employees, to serve a loyal clientele of this renowned company on the German-speaking market, with Croatia, Greece and Spain as its main destinations.

Expanding Samboat's European base

The acquisition comes less than a year after LateSail in the UK. The external growth operation reinforces Samboat's growth on the German market, the largest issuer on the nautical travel market, as explained by Laurent Calando, founder of Samboat. "Samboat had little presence in Germany, even though we were growing well. This will expand our German customer base. Argos customers will also benefit from more destinations. Overall, we are pooling relationships with our charter companies, which expands the offering and the fleet of available boats."

A new Samboat identity

SamBoat has seen a 70% growth in business volume in 2022. Since its inception in 2014, more than one million people have sailed with SamBoat and the company, which joined the Dream Yacht Group in 208, aims to reach ?100 million in business volume by 2024.

To symbolize this change and growth of the company, Samboat has called upon a reputable firm to completely revise its graphic identity, with a new logo and a redesign of the website.
