Multihulls, increasingly important for the nautical industry

The International Multihull Boat Show in La Grande Motte is fast approaching. This event promises to be particularly lively and confirms the ever-increasing importance of catamarans and trimarans in the yachting world.

Return of the International Multihull Exhibition

Like many nautical events, the International Multihull Boat Show in La Grande Motte has been cancelled twice in a row in 2020 and 2021. For 2022, the lights are finally green, and not only for health reasons. The event, scheduled from April 20 to 24, will bring together more than 60 sailing and motor boats and many exhibitors, well beyond the multihull builders alone. The entire ecosystem is present, with services and also many equipment manufacturers.

A multihull market that seems unstoppable

In addition to the "favorable" context - the event coming after the cancellation of the Boot Dusseldorf, it is one of the first 2022 trade shows of any size - the multihull show confirms a fundamental dynamic, which is based on the growth of multihull boating, which is not being denied. The difficulties of boat rental due to the pandemic might have seemed problematic, but the owners' market has taken over. The presence of wealthy boaters, who have suffered little economically from the pandemic but dream of long voyages, is confirmed.

As a result, the International Multihull Boat Show remains a niche, but a growing one! One might have thought that the beautiful line-up of multihulls at Port Canto, in Cannes, could have overshadowed it, but the attachment of multihull enthusiasts to their specificity guarantees it a strong base. An attraction that interests everyone, from the builder to the equipment manufacturer, which we will not fail to verify in the aisles in a few days.
