Ayro launches its first rigid sail for pleasure craft

Zen Yachts called on Ayro to develop an Oceanwings® OWS32 rigid wing to equip the 32m Zen 50 pleasure catamaran, which uses electro-solar propulsion. The wing was developed for Team Oracle in the 2010 America's Cup before being developed and automated by VPLP and installed on the Energy Observer in 2019. The wing will be manufactured in Caen in the factory that AYRO opened in January 2022 and which will also allow the construction of the four Oceanwings of the Canopée ship.

A new marina in the Paris region

After the destruction of the Lafarge cement plant, the town of Cormeilles-en-Parisis will be home to a new residential district - Seine Parisii - and numerous local services, all centered around a marina open to the Seine. This will offer approximately 150 moorings: 80 inside the marina and 70 on the banks of the Seine. The first inhabitants are expected to arrive in 2024. Two similar models already exist in the Paris region, Cergy II and L'Isle-Adam, in the Val d'Oise.

A new test base for Candela

After the centers in Stockholm, Switzerland, the Netherlands and Italy, Candela Boats, manufacturer of electric foil boats, is opening its first test center in the United States, in San Francisco, to expand its presence on the American market. The Swedish manufacturer's objective is to switch to electric propulsion for inland waterway transport, and it has received more than 100 orders for the new Candela C-8, with new customers coming from the United States. So this is an important target for Candela.

A distinction from Carsat Bretagne for the JPK Composites yard

Carsat Bretagne awarded the distinction "In Situ, design to prevent" to the JPK Composites company for the development of the work situation concerning the assembly and finishing of sailboats allowing the control of falls from height. The company has acquired specific scaffolding for the sizes of the 3 most produced hulls, to replace the rolling scaffolding.

A range of technological products to fight against plastic pollution

Poralu Marine, a global leader in aluminum marina construction and management, has launched The Serial Cleaners, which deploys a range of technology solutions to combat plastic pollution and clean and preserve shorelines. The first, a beach cleaning and foreign object collection robot called BeBot was launched in June 2021. It will be joined by an aquatic drone floating waste collector and data collector, PixieDroneeuros; a pontoon-mounted waste collector, Collec'Thoreuros; a bubble barrier that purifies water, diverts waste, confines hydrocarbons, and preserves wildlife, InvisiBubble.
