Designing custom boat interiors
Dream Racer Boats was born from the concept of converting racing yachts into high-performance cruising boats. Since the first Figaros, the company has worked on various projects, broadening the spectrum of boats to be fitted out. To control the entire process, it has created an in-house design department capable of drawing up boat interiors, making plans and sizing composite parts. "By having the design capabilities within Dream Racer Boats, it is easier to exchange, to be a force of proposal and to have an efficient and easy to build solution" explains Thibaud Ramond, founder of the company.
Making a light and intelligent sandwich joinery
On the production side, a carpentry division produces all the furniture for the boats. "Everything is made of sandwich panels that we order from suppliers according to our own technical specifications in order to be sure of their quality and remain in the spirit of performance and finish. We are particularly attentive to the durability of our materials over time" underlines Thibaud Ramond. Most of the projects are realized in our workshop and then assembled on board the boats in the refit yards or afloat, either by the Dream Racer Boats team or according to a precise assembly kit provided to the customer.
Supply small boatyards with new and refit boats
If the original idea of transforming racing boats remains valid, Dream Race Boats is also opening up to other markets and wishes to develop its activity in BtoB. "We mainly work for custom and small series. We have started to fit out one-off boats. We can also enable boatyards that produce mass-produced boats to respond to specific requests from boaters. We can also make complex parts as a subcontractor for shipyards specializing in refits, and allow them to expand their proposals, with parts such as the roof cap that we made for a Sun Odyssey. I would also like to be able to offer customized furnishing elements such as our textile crews for small series", says Thibaud Ramond, open to new collaborations.
