Opening of the Carina Ulixis construction site

The new shipyard Carina Ulixis based in Port Leucate, is now operational. It has put into service its 30T hydraulic cart adapted to catamarans and entered its first multihull in its new building.

Navico makes its packaging more sustainable

Marine electronics specialist Navico, owner of the Lowrance, Simrad and B&G brands, has announced the launch of a more sustainable packaging initiative. It says it is starting with the Elite FS fishfinder and B&G Nemesis, replacing plastic and polystyrene with kraft paper packaging, molded protectors made from mushroom and hemp, and "non-toxic" soluble polymers.

A French representative for Lopolight

Previously represented in France by the company Gréement Import, Lopolight LED navigation lights are now directly distributed through Maelle, the Danish company's sales representative, based in Lorient.

MAN continues its partnership with Ferretti

Marine engine manufacturer MAN has made official the continuation of its OEM partnership with yacht builder Ferretti. It will supply the engines for the boat range for the next 3 years.

Sealegs expands its plant

New Zealand amphibious boat specialist Sealegs is expanding its production capacity. The company will build a new assembly hall, still in Auckland, 300 m from its current site.

MB92 launches a sustainable development plan

MB92, the yacht refit and repair specialist, is launching a sustainable development action plan for its shipyard in La Ciotat. With a budget of 3.3 Meuros over 5 years, it will focus on 6 key areas :

  • reducing the carbon footprint and greenhouse gas emissions,
  • reduction of non-recyclable waste,
  • the reduction of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) emissions,
  • improving the quality of water in ports and in the Mediterranean Sea,
  • social and societal responsibility.
