Francesco Delre, new R&D engineer at France Hélices

Appointments, departures, job changes... There was movement at France Hélices, PST, Sunseeker and British Marine.

France Hélices strengthens its design office

Propulsion specialist France Hélices has announced the hiring of a shipbuilding engineer. Francesco Delre joins France Hélices' research and development team, headed by Laetitia Bezzi. The helicopter manufacturer now has an integrated design office with 4 R&D engineers, to advance in the projects already mentioned on boatindustry.com .

A new sales manager for PST and Icom France

After 25 years as commercial manager of PST, specialist in marine electronics, Thierry Barthès retired in April 2018. He is replaced by Laurent Lavallet. A former National Navy radar operator, the new manager has extensive experience in the field of marine electronics, both on professional boats and in yachting, after several years as commercial director of Garmin France.

Sunseeker founder John Braithwaite leaves

John Braithwaite, co-founder with his brother Robert of the British shipyard Sunseeker, announced at the age of 70 his retirement at the end of April 2018. In 53 years of a career that began at Friars Cliff Marine, he created one of the most important players in British boating. It is at the origin of the English brand's best-known motor boats, such as the Superhawk or the Predator 108.

Interim to British Marine

Following the announcement of the departure of Howard Pridding, director of British Marine, the British Boating Professionals Association has appointed its president David Pougher as interim operational director, pending the recruitment of a new manager.
