C-Map buys the i-Sea platform

The American electronic cartography specialist C-Map has acquired the Norwegian company i-Sea AS. The latter designs, develops and manages scale mapping tools for the maritime environment, on various electronic media. For Sean Fernback, CEO of C-Map, this is an excellent acquisition. "We have looked at a number of applications and platforms for boating, and I have no doubt that we have chosen the best and most advanced."

New office for the AFNL

The general assembly of the APNL, the Association des Professionnels du Nautisme de Lorient, was the occasion to elect a new board. The new team is composed of Jean-François Herry of Armor Nautic, Rodolphe Delesalle of White Sails, Antoine Martineau of SO sails and Franck Lauferon of Lorient Marine. The structure is in charge of the organization of the show L'Orient Nautic: Le Salon de la Plaisance in South Brittany.

RivaCom celebrates its 20th anniversary

RivaCom was born in the wake of Olivier de Kersauson's sailing career and celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2017. The company, founded by Régis Rassouli and Louis-Noël Viviès, has built its reputation as a communication agency for numerous skippers and nautical events. It has diversified in recent years into the food industry and employs 40 people in Brest, Rennes, Nantes and Paris. Today, it has a turnover of 5 M €.

Ocean Signal and Spinlock partner for Volvo Ocean Rance

Ocean Signal has announced that its MOB1 man overboard device and ME PLB1 beacon will be integrated into the life jacket specially designed by Spinlock for the 2017-2018 edition of the Volvo Ocean Race. All sailors in the round the world race will be equipped with this safety equipment.
