Eikon Tactil switch awarded at METS Trade

Vimar, the Italian specialist in home automation and electrical equipment, won the DAME Award 2018 for its Eikon touch switch in the category Interior equipment, furniture, materials and electrical equipment used in cabins.

A 24V multi-input switch

The new Eikon Tactil 24 V allows the management of multiple elements on board a boat. With 6 independent control blocks, it accepts 8 input and 7 output signals. The yachtsman on board the boat can switch on the lights on board, open and close the blinds and curtains with a simple touch. An LED backlight is activated as soon as the finger approaches the switch.

Customizable icons

The design of the Eikon switch has been designed to integrate discreetly into all cabins, while allowing a high degree of customization. The boat builder can choose from a wide range of symbols and logos corresponding to the elements checked.

The Eikon Tactil communicates easily with the entire Vimar product range, already present on the yacht and superyacht market, on which the Italian manufacturer supplies home automation management screens.

The jury is seduced by the versatility

The jury justified its choice by the great versatility of the Eikon Tactil. "It was chosen for its simplicity, great versatility, adaptability and elegance. This is a major step forward for interior design."
