New challenge for Cosméticar. She starts washing boats with her own technology. The beginnings are promising.

More than 10 years of experience

Cosméticar was created more than 10 years ago in Fos sur Mer. Its initial activity is washing vehicles without water, with an estimated annual turnover in 2016 of ?3.5 million. With a network of nearly 100 franchisees, the company supplies them with its own cleaning products, specially developed in its laboratories. It thus has a panel of solutions for all the materials present in the automobile.

Boating, a customer demand

Following several requests from automotive customers, wishing a cleaning of their boats, Cosméticar has tested the boat washing activity as an ancillary activity in several of its branches, notably in Corsica. A very satisfactory customer feedback now pushes Cosméticar to develop the nautical activity.

A specific product for the bridge

If the materials present inside the boats are all treatable with the products that Cosméticar has developed for cars, the deck is more complex to clean. As washing without water proved impossible, the company developed its own"organic" degreaser, approved for discharge into water. It remains an exclusivity of the Cosméticar network.

Franchise development

Already present as an ancillary activity in Corsica, La Rochelle or Switzerland, boat cleaning must become a product in its own right. Cosméticar thus structures its offer and launches a first independent nautical pole with two full-time specialized employees in Perpignan. Opened since 1 month, the order book is already saturated.

Further openings are planned in Marseille and Toulon by the end of the year and on the rest of the coast in 2017.

The boating activity will be offered to former franchisees and will be part of the obligations imposed on new franchisees on the coast. Limited to individuals for the moment, a service to professionals will be offered shortly.
