Able to handle sails up to 75âeuros¯m long
This floor has been designed to accommodate the most demanding working configurations: sails up to 75âeuros¯m long and weighing 1âeuros¯800âeuros¯kg can be accommodated. Three rotary shafts enable the sewing machines to maneuver at 360°. Each structural pillar can support up to 1âeuros¯000âeuros¯tonnes, and an external elevator supporting 4âeuros¯tonnes enables even the most voluminous sails to be transported.
A location for the Mediterranean and superyacht markets
The choice of Genoa was not random: Alessio Razeto, Sales Manager for Northâeuros¯Sails Italy, points out that this new loft "celebrates the vitality of the Italian sailing industry and the passion of its teamâeuros¯" . On the management side, Daniele Cassinari, CEO of Northâeuros¯Sails Italy, declares that " this state-of-the-art center becomes one of the jewels in the crown of the Northâeuros¯Sailsâeuros¯ global network" . The results show that the facility is aimed at both top-level racers and superyacht owners, and is helping to anchor the brand firmly in the Mediterranean region.
A comprehensive, high-end service offering
In addition to sail manufacture and maintenance, the site includes two levels of air-conditioned warehouses for sail storage, as well as a 550 âeuros¯m² outdoor area dedicated to sail washing, equipped with a water filtration system. A motorized sail tensioning system simulates on-board rigging conditions in real time âeuros a useful innovation for regatta and superyacht sails.
