Since 2021, Victor Nautisme has been part of the professional fabric of La Rochelle, taking over the activities of LJB Marine. This human-scale structure quickly specialized in technical assistance for pleasure boats, before attracting the attention of major multihull shipyards. Here's a look back at the development of a craft-based company that combines responsiveness, technical know-how and local roots.
A workshop structured around port maintenance
Based in the heart of the Les Minimes marina, Victor Nautisme provides a full range of maintenance, repair and upkeep services for sailboats and motorboats. Equipped with a hangar for dry work, the facility also has direct access to the pontoons for work afloat. The business covers a wide range of operations, from engine overhaul to replacement of fittings, including laminating and marine electrical work.
Victor, the company's founder, relies on the experience he acquired at LJB Marine to ensure the long-term future of the business. He has been supported from the outset by Florent, his associate.
A technical service provider for Lagoon and Excess catamarans
In 2022, the Lagoon shipyard asked Victor Nautisme to prepare several new boats for delivery from the factory. This initial collaboration led the following year to Victor's official status as official préparateur for the Lagoon and Excess brands in the port of La Rochelle.
The worksite is commissioned by the dealers, according to the options chosen by the future owners. This includes equipment installation, technical customization and compliance prior to delivery. This activity requires an excellent knowledge of the systems on board these cruising catamarans, as well as rigorous coordination with the various parties involved.
A direct contact for dealers
Victor Nautisme is part of the preparation chain for units sold by Lagoon and Excess distributors. It does not depend on the builder's yard, but works in close collaboration with dealers, according to the specifications of each sales contract.
This model of intervention allows great flexibility in managing specific requests, particularly in terms of rigging, electronics or comfort equipment. The company also provides after-sales service, guaranteeing continuity of service for yachtsmen.
Diversification into resale and distribution
Alongside its technical activities, Victor Nautisme offers a limited range of used boats. This activity, which is marginal, responds to the need to be close to owners.
Since 2025, Victor Nautisme has also been a distributor of RIBs Fanale a Corsican brand still little represented on the western facade. This new string to its bow positions the workshop as a local entry point for the distribution of these units, while maintaining a model based on responsiveness and direct contact.
