Honda Marine Europe restructures its marine division to accelerate growth

Francesco Pichelli, Country Manager and Head of Sales Marine Europe

Since April 2025, Honda Marine France has been part of a new, independent structure, attached to Honda Marine Europe. This change is designed to better meet the expectations of boatyards, distributors and boaters in a fast-changing French market. A new team is in place to support this strategy.

A European organization focused exclusively on nautical activities

By splitting up the marine division of its Power Products branch, Honda is carrying out a major reorganization of its marine business in Europe. The creation of a Honda Marine Europe entity, with country relays, marks a clear commitment to specialization. In France, this structure distinguishes marine products (outboards and boats) from the garden and industrial ranges.

Francesco Pichelli, appointed Country Manager and Head of Sales Marine for France, heads up the new structure. He is supported by Guillaume Valladon (marketing and communications), Frédéric Boleis (sales France), Thomas Delavenne (southern region), and Gérald Rohrback (Switzerland). Two positions are still to be filled: a parts and accessories sales manager, and a worksite partnerships referent.

Honda Marine aims to be more responsive to changes in the industry. By setting up an autonomous unit, the Group has given itself the means to optimize dealer follow-up, structure its relations with shipyards and better target its engine offer according to market segment.

A location strategy aligned with European challenges

This dynamic is not isolated: every European country has been gradually adopting an identical structure since 2024. It is part of an overall project to increase the company's power, coordinated by Cristian Pellegrino, General Manager of Honda Marine Europe. This standardization is designed to provide more effective sales levers, adapted to the heterogeneous growth of national markets.

Honda is clearly demonstrating its ambitions in the European powerboat market. The specialization of its teams, the adjustment of its governance and the desire to anchor a close relationship with professionals aim to meet growing demands in terms of support, product availability and after-sales services.
