Human Resources : They are changing jobs in the nautical industry - May 23, 2023

Appointments, departures, job changes... There's been movement at Kent Marine, Alliance Marine, Propspeed, Nautitech, Spirit Yachts and Virtual Regatta.

New sales manager at Kent Marine

Kent Marine, distributor of equipment for pleasure craft and professional marine, has appointed a new sales manager. Thibaud Frémont joins the company in this position. After 10 years outside the nautical sector, he returns to the industry in which he previously worked as a boat sales representative for La Baule Nautic and Le Roy Plaisance.

Thibaud Frémont replaces David Jégat. Head of sales and key accounts at Kent Marine since 2008, in February 2023 he became Alliance Marine group sales director for the OEM segment in France.

Propspeed promotes its sales manager

Underwater antifouling specialist Propspeed has a new CEO. Marcus Hamilton, who has worked for Fusion Entertainment, Garmin New Zealand and Propspeed International, was most recently the brand's International Sales Director.

New HR Director at Nautitech

La Rochelle-based catamaran builder Nautitech has appointed a new Human Resources Director. He is Gawron Benjamin. He had already been part of the multihull manufacturer's HR department since July 2016.

Spirit Yachts expands its management team

British shipyard Spirit Yachts, a specialist in high-end sailing yachts, has restructured its management team. The company has announced the arrival in April 2023 of Julian Weatherill as Production and Design Director. A former sailor, he has held a variety of positions in well-known British shipyards such as Oyster Yachts and Cockwells.

Virtual Regatta founder steps down

Philippe Guigné, founder of e-Sailing and online sailing competition pioneer Virtual Regatta, has announced his departure from the company he founded in 2010. Remains as CEO, he transferred ownership to 52 Entertainment in 2021 .
