Seatronic : New premises for the equipment manufacturer from Saint Malo

New Seatronic headquarters

The specialist in energy and electronics for yachts Seatronic has moved into new premises. A necessity in view of the increasing sales and the development of new products.

A new hangar and doubled surfaces

Seatronic, a company based in Saint Malo that specializes in energy and electronics for pleasure boats, moved into its new premises on 26 September 2022. It left the docks of the port of Saint-Malo for a new hangar, specially built for the company, at the entrance to the city in the Atalante zone. The work, which began in February 2022, was completed at the end of the summer. The move allowed the company to increase its space from 400 to 800 m², but also to facilitate and improve working conditions. Géraldine Labruyère, in charge of communication at Seatronic, is delighted: "We now have real 80-square-meter offices, a centralized workshop in one space and double the storage space. We didn't necessarily need to be on the docks and where we are, truck logistics are significantly easier and we are more visible."

Growing sales figures

For the company, these new buildings were necessary to cope with the sustained growth of the business and the arrival of new, numerous and bulky products. Seatronic's turnover has increased by 30% between 2020 and 2022. The various products, which are becoming larger and larger, are finding a clientele of private individuals and construction sites in the original equipment market. Géraldine Labruyère illustrates: "The hydro generators are a real success. We're getting good feedback and we've made twice as many sales as we expected this year. Our new solar panels like the 390W are large and need space. With the Allures yard we are outfitting on these panels, we need to always have a good amount in stock."

Continued product development

The new premises are also an opportunity to expand the team to continue the company's development. One recruitment has already taken place in 2022 and another is underway for the design office. Seatronic continues to work on its hydro-generators to broaden the spectrum of targeted boats and improve its performance. A plastic propeller is being designed to reduce noise, while a small-diameter propeller will also soon be offered for use on boats sailing at higher speeds.
