Yamaha Marine signs with Salpa Nautica

Engine manufacturer Yamha Marine has signed an original equipment agreement with Italian yacht builder Salpa Nautica. Yamha Marine will supply exclusive outboard engines for the Open range for five years, including the new Avantgarde 35 and RIB models, ranging in length from 42 to 18 feet and power from 40 to 850 hp. The outboard engines used include the XTO V8 and V6 with 425 hp in the Premium segment, but also those in the 90 to 200 hp range and the 40 hp Supreme.

Garmin expands the One Helm panel

Electronics specialist Garmin has announced the addition of eight new partners to its One Helm solution. The platform will be able to centralize product information from Hefring Marine, Honda, Lingren-Pitman, OSCAR - SEA.AI, Smartgryo, Schenker, Veethree Group and Webasto Group.

The Musée de la Marine goes international

The Musée de la Marine, which brings together the entities of the various French ports, is increasing its involvement in the defense of maritime heritage at the international level. Twin Disc sells its Belgian factory

Bio-UV team Baglietto

French water treatment specialist Bio-UV has announced the signing of a major contract with luxury motorboat manufacturer Baglietto. It covers 10 ballast water treatment units in 12 months.

Oxe Diesel partners with Jet-Tech

Norwegian diesel outboard engine developer Oxe Marine has announced joint work with the Jet Tech company. The development involves a belt-driven, water-jet turbine outboard engine with an announced 1:1 ratio of power to propulsion.

Applications for the Ocean Innovation Trophies are now open

Carried since 2019 by Banque Populaire Grand Ouest and its Crédit Maritime Grand Ouest network, the Innovation Ocean trophies honor companies, research centers and local authorities in France that develop innovative projects in line with ocean preservation and blue growth. In the past, it has rewarded nautical companies such as Ino Rope. Applications for the 2022 edition are open until December 10, 2022.
