Nautical equipment manufacturer Lewmar joins Lippert Components

Lewmar, buyout finalized

The American Lippert Components is the official owner of the Lewmar equipment manufacturer. The shareholders of the British fittings manufacturer have accepted the offer of the American group presented on 11 June 2019. This has been validated by the Scottish regulatory authorities. Lewmar joins Lippert Components' extensive portfolio of brands in the yachting industry.

Hanse Yachts increases its capital

Following the takeover at the end of June 2019 of the French catamaran builder Privilège Marine from its own parent company Aurelius, the Hanse Yachts Group is reviewing its capitalization. The German yacht builder has announced a capital increase, with the issue of 933,162 new shares at a price of 5.75 euros.

Twin Disc buys out Veth Propulsion

The American specialist in transmission and propulsion systems for the navy and land forces, has announced the takeover of the Dutch family business Veth Propulsions for a confidential sum. The operation enables it to add to its catalogue an offer of pump-jet type thrusters, used on yachts and professional ships, specialities of the Dutch industrialist.

Besenzoni loses its founder

The Italian nautical company Besenzoni has announced the death of its founder Giovanni Besenzoni on 11 August 2019 at the age of 77. In 1967, he founded the equipment manufacturer, a specialist in yachting, which today employs more than 100 people in Sarnico. The brand's introduction of bathing platforms with ladders and hydraulic telescopic gangways for boat access have made it famous.

Esthec offers itself an R&D center

The Bolidt Group, a specialist in synthetic deck coverings, active in the yachting industry through the Esthec brand, opens a new R&D centre, the Bolidt Innovation Center, in Rotterdam.
