Phantom International expands its windsurfing offer

The Breton brand Phantom International made its name with its foil catamarans, one of the first supports of this type, now widespread in regattas. In a first diversification, it had announced at the end of 2017 the launch of a range of windsurfing sails. It persists on the niche of windsurfing with the marketing of 8 floats, from 97 L to 147 L, built in France.

World Sailing, a sustainable development accreditation

The international sailing federation, World Sailing, has obtained ISO 20121 accreditation. It is the first international sports body to be certified according to this standard, which deals with the organisation of events with respect for sustainable development.

Channel, the concession of heritage ports under debate

The Société Publique Locale was to take over the operation of the small heritage ports of the Channel from the department. According to our colleague Ouest-France, negotiations are underway in the face of the slings and arrows of the associations currently in charge of their management. The Department would like to obtain a final agreement by the end of June 2019, with entry into force on 1 January 2019.

Discovery Yachts raises £2m

The British group Discovery Yachts has just raised over £2 million in less than 2 weeks through a participative fundraising campaign with an initial target of £750,000. The group, created when members of its management took over the Discovery Yachts brand in 2017, has already taken over Southerly Yachts sailing yachts and launched the Bluewater catamarans.

GlobeSailor partners with Meetrip

The French yacht charter specialist GlobeSailor has signed a partnership with the Meetrip platform. It will allow the renting yachtsman to quickly book tourist guides during his stopovers.
