Evinrude G2 outboard range expands

New Evinrude G2 150 CV

Evinrude presents 4 new models from 150 to 200 HP in its G2 range. Continuation of the renewal strategy.

Extending the G2 range to low powers

Until now reserved for engines with a power greater than 200 HP, the G2 range is expanding and starting at 150 HP. Evinrude presented 4 new models, the 150 CV, 150 H.O (High Output), 175 CV, 200 CV. They integrate the G2 outboard engine range, launched in 2014, which, in addition to an original design, offers up to 30% torque gain, 15% fuel efficiency and reduces emissions by 75% compared to other four-stroke engines on the market.

Continuation of the renovation of the range

The President and CEO of BRP, Evinrude's parent company, Jose Boisjoli and Alain Villemure, Vice President and Manager of BRP's Marine Propulsion Systems Division, stated in the press at the Miami International Boat Show last February that the company would review the rest of its range to include G2 technology within 3 to 5 years. The presentation of these four new models is the beginning of this movement.

For Alain Villemure,"Evinrude E-TEC G2 technology is now the benchmark for outboard engines. By extending this award-winning range to lower-power models, even more consumers will benefit from the E-TEC G2's top performance. From rowboats to pontoon boats and aluminium fishing boats, in fresh water and at sea, the revolution is here."
