The boating industry meets up in Dusseldorf

The year 2024 opens with the Boot Dusseldorf trade show. A must-attend event for sounding out market trends, but also an indicator of the appetite for boat shows.

The nautical industry on German time

This Saturday, January 20, sees the opening of Boot Dusseldorf 2024. A must for the European yachting industry, it is the major indoor show of the winter season. All the major international brands are present, with an extremely wide range of products and services, from the smallest boat or kayak to the largest yacht, which arrived on the Rhine. At the end of January, the yachting industry will definitely be on German time. We'll be strolling the aisles with our team, and will be open to discussing the latest innovations with you, as well as sharing your long-term vision.

A testament to the appeal of indoor trade shows

While the 2023 edition signalled the return of the German show after cancellations linked to Covid in 2021 and 2022, Boot 2024 should provide an insight into the real appetite of customers and construction sites for indoor shows. Indeed, the boycott of the 2023 show by some exhibitors because of the cancellation conditions in 2022 is part of history. Fears about the effects of the war in Ukraine on the energy market have now been integrated, if not allayed. The showâ??s occupancy rate should therefore become a reliable thermometer of the state of the market, at a time when we know that the marine industry is experiencing a slowdown in many segments. In 2023, some brands stated that they no longer wished to exhibit boats at indoor shows, for ecological reasons. Will this argument hold, at a time when selling is no longer as easy as it used to be?

Boot 2024 will still be full of lessons.
