Pierre-Yves Renou leaves Sunway Mecanorem

After 14 years as manager of the French subsidiary of the German sailboat brand Dehler, Pierre-Yves Renou has been sales director of the Trigano group's trailer and port equipment brands, Lider, Sunway and Mecanorem, since November 2009. He left his post in June 2023 to pursue a new independent activity.

President of the Yacht-Club de France

At its general meeting on May 25, 2023, the Yacht Club de France re-elected Philippe Heral as its new president. Alongside the president, there are 4 vice-presidents: Patrick Boissier, Didier Le Prado, Géry Trentesaux and Jean-Louis Vichot, as well as a treasurer, Roland Dubois, and a secretary, Bernard Reynis.

New president for GMBA

Global Marine Business Advisors (GMBA), the association of professional marine consultants, has renewed its presidency. The group of 19 experts elected Veda Pretorius, a South African who also heads SABBEX, the South African Export Boatbuilders' Council, as its new president.

BRP Marine changes manager

Canada's BRP Group has announced a change in the president of its nautical entity BRP Marine Group, which groups together its boat brands. Bernard Guy, a 35-year BRP veteran and vice-president of global product strategy, replaces Karim Donnez, who leaves the group on June 5, 2023.

Aurélien Poncin takes over as CEO of Catana Group

Following the death of his father Olivier Poncin, Aurélien Poncin was appointed Chairman and CEO of Catana Group, builder of the Catana and Bali multihulls, by the Board of Directors on May 25, 2023. He will be succeeded by David Etien, the Group's long-standing Chief Financial Officer, as Deputy Managing Director.
