Why has the pleasure of getting together at a boat show disappeared? Where are the parties of yesteryear? The Arcachon Boat Show, which has just closed its doors, went off like a big party. An example for the organizers of major national events?

The Salon Nautique d'Arcachon took place from April 21 to 23. This regional show brings together local dealers and players from the region. There was a real festive air in the aisles. The smiling staff who greeted visitors at the various kiosks - free admission! - pleasantly surprised. At last, a boat show where every visitor has fun...

The show features a wide range of activities, including a visit from a Spanish galleon and rides for children. Admittedly, the fair has its positive and negative aspects, but the pleasure visitors derived from discovering the exhibitors under tents and the boats afloat or afloat showed the richness of our yachting ecosystem.

This is in stark contrast to our visits to so-called national trade shows. The joy of attending an event, whether in La Rochelle, Cannes or Paris, sometimes seems to have disappeared from our aisles.
