Selection process

The DAME Award is open to exhibitors and co-exhibitors of the METS Trade fair in Amsterdam. The more than 1600 potential candidates are invited to submit their innovation applications before 24 September 2019. Every year, between half and a third of the nautical equipment manufacturers in the competition pass the nomination stage. They are then selected by a jury of professionals before the official results are announced in November at the opening of the METS exhibition.

The money collected through registrations, amounting to 150 euros per product presented, is shared between two charitable associations: The Little Optimist Trust and Sailing4handicaps working for access to navigation.
