The organisation of the Mille Sabords second-hand boat show in Crouesty presented the results of the 2018 edition. Very positive figures, both in terms of attendance and the number of transactions concluded.

The 34th Mille Sabords is filling up with boaters

The Mille Sabords show claims to be the largest European event specialising in second-hand pleasure craft. The 34th edition since its creation in 1984, was held from 1 to 4 November 2018. The 700 boats exhibited by 500 professionals and individuals drained the crowd in the port of Crouesty (56) during the All Saints' Day weekend. The free event attracted more than 90,000 visitors according to the count, based on telephone locations.

Many second-hand boats sold

The Mille Sabords has been the occasion for many sales of second-hand boats. Individual exhibitors sold 50 boats out of 176 exhibits, while professionals found buyers for 162 sailboats and power units among the 155 offered afloat and 286 ashore. 34% of the exhibited park has therefore changed ownership, among the 600 units offered for sale.

Pole destocking Fittings

The installation of a hardware destocking centre, under a 200 m2 structure on the northern median, was one of the 2018 innovations. The professionals offered visitors end-of-series products, unsold or out of catalogue products. The experience will be repeated in 2019, given the very positive feedback from boaters and exhibitors. "Customers were delighted to find a space where they could meet the professionals in the sector. The concept and space were clearly identifiable. There was a good turnout. This Destocking Centre has enabled us to liquidate stock that was sleeping in the store," says Laure didier de Massif Marine.
