François de Rugy in charge of yachting

Attached to the Ministry of Ecological and Solidarity Transition, in charge of transport, water sports and pleasure boating change who is responsible. Aged 44, François de Rugy forged his political career in Nantes (Loire-Atlantique) where he was born. After having been an environmental municipal councillor, he became deputy mayor of Nantes in 2001, then deputy for Loire-Atlantique from 2007. He left Europe écologie - Les Verts in 2015 to found his own party, Écologistes! He finally rallied Emmanuel Macron after his severe defeat in the left primary. He became President of the National Assembly in June 2017.

Although little is known about François de Rugy's convictions in the maritime field, he recently chaired a symposium on the action of the maritime State in the National Assembly.

After the departure of fencer Laura Flesselle's government, swimmer Roxana Maracineanu became the new Minister of Sport. This is not the first political commitment for the 1998 World Swimming Champion, who was Regional PS Advisor for Ile de France from 2010 to 2015. FFV Sailing President Nicolas Hénard reacted by thanking Laura Flessel for the progress made and welcoming the arrival of a minister from the sports movement, an "Olympic" minister.
