Rutgerson hardware on board Bali catamarans

Swedish hardware manufacturer Rutgerson has announced the signing of a 3-year contract with Catana Group. It will exclusively supply deck hatches, portholes, pulleys and other deck equipment for the entire range of Bali catamarans.

Vendée and Pays de la Loire vote budgets for water sports

On 22 June 2018, the department of Vendée voted in favour of the"Vendée Ambition Maritime" plan. A budget of 96 M €, of which 53 M € for the ports, will be devoted to 50 concrete actions. The local authority is positioning itself in particular on the creation of a boat dismantling sector and the reception of the New York-Vendée-Les Sables transatlantic race, a prologue to the Vendée Globe.

The action plan for the future of boating has been adopted by the Pays de la Loire regional assembly. It intends to structure the nautical sector and develop new uses to anticipate the new model of yachting.

FIN Warns of Taxes on U.S. Pleasure Craft

On the occasion of the France Maritime Committee meeting on 20 June 2018, FIN requested the support of the French State in its efforts to exclude pleasure craft from the list of goods concerned by customs duties decided by the European Union in retaliation for the taxes imposed on steel and aluminium by the United States.

Evinrude motorized ZAR Mini

The BRP Group has announced the signature of an OEM partnership with the ZAR Mini aluminium semi-rigid hull yard. Evinrude outboard engines will be offered by the German brand as original equipment to its yachtsmen.
