Fountaine-Pajot, more than 50% growth in the 1st half

Astréa 42, the new Fountaine-Pajot catamaran

The catamaran builder Fountaine-Pajot is off to a good start in 2017/2018. Turnover, export, order book... The lights are on green.

Strong increase in turnover

The cruising catamaran specialist Fountaine-Pajot presented its interim results for the first half of 2017/2018. Taking advantage of the favourable conditions in the yachting market, particularly in the multihull sector, the manufacturer posted turnover of 44,1 M €, up 51.6% over the first six months of the financial year.

Dynamism of large exports and the French market

Fountaine-Pajot makes 89% of its boat sales internationally. Major exports posted a 21.3% increase in sales, driven by a particularly positive dynamic in the United States and the Caribbean, representing 33% and 25% of the brand's multihull acquisitions respectively.

The French market, which accounts for only 10.6% of Fountaine-Pajot's activity, is experiencing a real boom, with an increase of 62.1%.

A full order book

At the end of February 2018, Fountaine-Pajot's order book stood at 95 M €, including 51 M € for the 2017-2018 financial year. The Roche-based company expects sales to grow by 20% in the current financial year. The continued renewal of the range should make it possible to support this growth. After the Saona 47 in 2017, Fountaine-Pajot presents its new 42-foot sailboat model, the Astréa 42, at the 2018 Grande-Motte International Multihull Show.

The catamaran manufacturer's good health is also reflected in past investments at Dream Yacht Charter or in negotiations at Dufour Yachts.
