The election of the European Motorboat of the Year 2018 took place on the opening night of the Boot Dusseldorf on January 20th rewarding the 5 motorboats (divided by size) which will mark the year to come.

The Boot Dusseldorf is Europe's largest boat show and its opening night brings together every year the major international boatyards for the famous"The Flagship Night" awards ceremony for the European Yacht of the Year and the European Powerboat of The Year. In the sailing category, France raided the trophies with four out of five awards ( How are the European Motor Boats of the Year 2018 elected? )

It was the editors and journalists of nine European motor yachting magazines who selected the 25 nominees at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2017. And it is this same jury that chose the 5 European motor boats of the year. More than 200 models arrive on the market each year, and are distributed across size criteria (- 25 feet/25-35 feet/35 - 45 feet/over 45 feet/displacement). The selection criteria are manufacturing and performance, but also the layout, the quality/price ratio or the overall concept.

Boats up to 25 feet
