Hanse 315

The Hanse Yachts group announces good results for the third quarter. Boat orders and profits up for the number two German yacht manufacturer, soon to be a distributor of Privilege catamarans.

A good third quarter

Hanse Group, Germany's second-largest yacht builder under the Hanse, Moody, Dehler, Fjord and Sealine brands, has announced positive results for the third quarter of its 2016/17 fiscal year. Hanse Yachts AG's sales increased by 31% compared to the same period last year. It amounted to 39 Meuros. Yacht orders in the period increased by 8% in value. Gross profit in the first three months of 2017 was 16.5 Meuros, up 3 Meuros.

Encouraging annual outlook

The cumulative results for the first nine months of the year are also positive. The strong growth in sales led to a change from a negative net result in 2016 with -1.0 Meuros to +3.7 Meuros in the last nine months. Based on this trend, the Hanse Group expects to return to profit at the end of the 2016/17 fiscal year for the first time in 8 years.

Distribution of Privilege catamarans

As announced earlier this month, the Aurelius Group, owner of Hanse Yachts, has taken majority control of Privilège Marine, the French catamaran manufacturer. Within this framework, the Hanse network will ensure the marketing of Privilège multihulls. Industrial synergies will also be implemented, contributing to the activity of the Hanse group.
