Marcia Kull joins Torqeedo

Marcia Kull, an American specialist in marine propulsion, joins Torqeedo electric motors to implement the new commercial strategy.

Torqeedo announced on March 24, 2017 the election of Marcia Kull to head Torqeedo Group Inc. President of the American subsidiary, Marcia Kull will also be responsible for worldwide sales and strategy of the specialist and pioneer of electric motors in the nautical industry. She will be responsible for Torqeedo's development in America, EMEA and Asia Pacific. This is a new position in the organization chart of the German engine manufacturer. Marcia Kull will take up her duties on May 1, 2017.

A specialist in marine engines

Prior to joining Torqeedo, Marcia Kull was vice president of sales, responsible for North, Central America and the Caribbean for yachting and professional boats at Volvo Penta Americas. She began her career at Bowman & Brooks, a law firm representing boat and engine builders, before joining Genmar Holding, which owns many prestigious brands of motor boats in the United States. Marcia Kull held senior management responsibilities there before joining Volvo Penta in 2005.

Member of professional associations

Marcia Kull is president of the association of engine manufacturers within the NMMA, the American federation of marine manufacturers. She also holds executive positions with the American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC) and the International Marine Certification Institute (IMCI).
