Guy Marine and White Shark, activity relaunched since the acquisition

Star White Shark

The Guy Marine and White Shark brands in Oleron have been looking to the future since the recovery last March. On the programme, consolidation of the activity and preparation of the Grand Pavois exhibition.

Resumed in March 2016

Mains de Marins and its shipyard at Château-d'Oléron, which produces the White Shark launches and the Guy Marine motor boats, were placed in recovery at the end of 2015. Finally, COGEMEC, a company specialising in the metallurgical industry in the Orléans region, was appointed by the court in March 2016 to take over them, as part of a diversification of its activities. All production staff were maintained.

2/3 boats per month

Since that date, the buyer's objective has been to consolidate production. Both brands are retained and the existing range serves as the basis for the current activity. He leaves the workshops again two to three boats a month.

The production site is operational and remains as it is for the moment. The Oleron anchorage remains confirmed by the buyer.

A new Guy Marine website is in preparation. It will make it possible to support the commercial effort with a support with the taste of the day. The existing distribution network continues to operate.

The Grand Pavois as 1st objective

The first major meeting with the public since the takeover, the Grand Pavois de la Rochelle is for Oleron brands the show that sets the pace. White Shark and Guy Marine will be present with two boats each. The event will provide an opportunity for an initial review of the site's strategy.
