Sailing technique back on the Figaro

After a few years of absence, Technique Voile is back in the world of racing and ocean racing. The sailmaker will equip three skippers for the Solitaire du Figaro 2016.

Triple representation on the Solitaire du Figaro

Technique Voile will supply the sails of three skippers during the Solitaire Bompard - Le Figaro 2016, and not the least: Erwan Tabarly, winner of the AG2R 2016 transatlantic race, Martin Le Pape and Benoit Hochart. She is counting on these three sailors to return to the Figaro circuit.

A return to the roots under the impetus of Frédéric Duthil

The cloverleaf sailmaker, based in La Trinité sur Mer, at the heart of French ocean racing, designed and manufactured the sails of many racers in the 1980s, like Tabarly, Poupon, Caradec or Riguidel. It had gradually moved away from the world of racing and ocean racing in the 2000s, focusing its development on yachting and exporting.

The arrival of Frédéric Duthil, renowned figarist, as commercial-marketing director in March 2016 did not deceive. Technique Voile now intends to reinvest the race water, including at the highest level. The person concerned stated this when he arrived:"With 35 years of experience, Technique Voile, one of Europe's leading sailmakers, has unique know-how in designing and manufacturing the most efficient sails for all types of programmes, from family cruises to the most competitive regattas.

We will reaffirm our presence on the regatta stage. With the design office, I will be keen to help sailors design their sails to suit their boat, their programme and of course their budget

The program is launched, see you in June on the water for a first return...
