Naudet labelled EPV : the barometers with the beautiful fixed !

Naudet Barometers

The French barometer manufacturer Naudet has obtained the label Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant EPV, recognition of a history and driving force for its developments.

EPV a strict and recognized label

"It is the only free label issued directly by the Ministry of Economy," says Charles Friess of Naudet. That's why society chose him. Awarded after the examination of a file prepared by the company and the visit of the site by qualified personalities, it recognizes the existence of a generally old and rare know-how, entirely exercised in France. It must be renewed every five years.

The award of the label allows Naudet to use the logo throughout its communication. "An approach we are satisfied with while waiting to measure the economic impact" according to Charles Friess.

Waking the sleeping beauty

Taken over in July 2014 by François Bouan, Naudet, created in 1860, was quietly continuing its production of barometers and hygrometers. According to his expression, the buyer has decided to wake the beautiful asleep. With a know-how unique in France in the manufacture of measuring instruments and particularly barometers, having it recognized was a first step in the process.

Transmit and develop knowledge

Composed of 5 employees to date, including 4 in production, the company is preparing its future and has recently hired to continue the transmission of knowledge and keep the heritage alive.

With the same concern for preservation and development, it moved to the 1 er april 2016 in larger premises in Neuilly-Plaisance, where it has installed its centenary oak benches. It is on these that it will develop new products such as the recently launched tidal pendulum. We also talk about innovative projects such as connected instruments..., the opportunity to remember that in EPV, there is alive!
