METS Trade, confirmed growth for the world boat equipment show

METS Trade 2018

While the METS Trade 2018 statistics have just been published, the International Boat Equipment Exhibition has already announced a record number of exhibitors for the 2019 edition.

METS Trade 2018, an increasingly international trade fair

RAI Amsterdam, organiser of METS Trade, the international trade fair for marine equipment manufacturers, reports very positively on the 2018 edition, which took place in early November. 16,716 visitors from all countries came to Amsterdam, a 5% increase over 2017. The exhibition continued its international development, with more and more countries represented among exhibitors and visitors. The Americans were particularly numerous, up 13%, as well as Russian boating professionals, whose numbers increased by 15%. Denmark has increased the number of national pavilions. For the first year, METS Trade also hosted consular delegations representing the embassies of 37 countries that came to promote international trade in boating.

Upcoming attendance at METS Trade 2019

Less than a month after the 2018 edition closed, the organisers and exhibitors are planning the next event. More than 1100 exhibitors and two thirds of the available space at the show have already been booked, proof of the show's enthusiasm. Irene Dros, event director, justifies this success by the need for real contact between the players in the yachting industry. "There can be no innovation in an advanced sector like ours without creativity and phone calls and emails are simply not enough! METS Trade 2019 will be held from 19 to 21 November at RAI Amsterdam.
